The headlight should fit.....the front end on the Fat Bob is a wide glide type with bigger tubes....the light is $350 if I remember correctly from the HD wish book
GNIPI just noticed that you are riding a Street Bob....at least accoring to your avitar....If that is the case and you are running stock mufflers this mod will not work for you. My mufflers are more like Screamin Eagle mufflers straight tubes with slash down ends.....you have Tapers on yours as stock.....the end of yours is WELDED to the can and takes a totally different process to modify. There has been a post on here as to how it is done....you might want to do a search for that.
I too just got my Fat Bob and am looking for that "sweeter" sound. All the info from this thread has been great.I have a fewmore questions. With the packing out, you've got the sound, How about performance? Did you remap the EFI or dyno the bike to optomize performance with the new exhaust config.? Can you cause any harm to the bike by not "tunung" it after a muffler swap?
I have been told by local dealer that as long as you only do slip ons you dont have to remap. If you mess with the air cleaner, that is a different story. I havent had mine dyno'd....but seat of the pants.....feels the same. There are no pops on decel and there are no flat spots.
One more note: I have since taken the baffles apart yet again. If you attempt to look through the center of the baffle you will notice you cannot see daylight out the other end. There is a plug about 6 inches in from the head pipe end. I resolved this issue by taking a chisel and punching a hole in this plug. I re-installed the baffles (this is getting to be easier each time I do it) started the bike. Much better sound. Still no noticable loss of power or torque. No popping on decel....no stubles on take off. Not quite as loud as my brothers Street Bob with SE slip ons with packing removed (yes I did it to his too) But its getting better and not costing me anything but my time and the cost of a few rivets.
