Hi
I have an 03 WG and am using the QD windshield with the newerspring loaded clamps. You can drop the windshield down so that the upper set of clamps set just above the lower triple tree. Then with a grease pencil mark around the headlamp and cut out that part of the windshield with a small diegrinder or dremel tool. that's a lot easier than triming the top. It will drop the windshield about 2 in.

Memphis Shades I have talked to.. they were to lazy to help me get a lower shield for my bike. they have zero tech support. One sorry company to talk to,i must say .
Wow, sorry to hear that. I have a Memphis shades and had to call them twice (had the Rio Grande shield with qd mounts on my Sporty and then needed new ones for my SB. I left a message both times and got a call back from a sweet lady with a great southern drawl who gave me parts numbers and answered my questions. She even talked with me a for a minute or two about the weather and such.
As was indicated, I would call a local glass company. I have hadplexiglass/lexan cut a couple of times for doors and they did a great job. Good luck
When I got my Memphis Shades from a local shop, they had a measuring windshield with all of the sizes cut on it that you could hold on your bike and then pick the right size.
I recently stripped out a nut on my mounting bracket and when I called them, they sent me a packet of replacements with no questions asked - great service!

Sorry to here that you had a bad experience with Memphis Shades, They have been nothing but stellar for me. They took extra steps, sent extra parts, and went out of their way to suggest some work arounds for an unusual mod... I highly reccommend them.............
I think I'll call a few glass companies, I have already mounted it on the lowest part of the forks that it can go and its still to high. Thanks for the replies
