I saw this post and thenfound your original thread. I had my bike in for EXACTLY the same symptoms you describe. Tried different maps and all sorts of things, but I thought it might be a wiring problem. I had NFI where to start though.
Thanks to you I'll call my mech on Monday and tell him there's been a few with this problem and to get him to check it out.

Well, the service mgr. said he'd seen all types of bikes have the problem, not just limited to one line, ie. Dyna, FL, Softy, etc. He blamed it on a thin wire on an extremely vibratory machine. To me, it sounds like the folks in R&D need a little more work on the design.[:@]And he didn't differentiate between front oe back wires breaking, so I assume it is a equal mixture.
