Can anyone confirm whether the HD tombstone tail light fitted to the Heritage Springer (part no 68281-05) will fit in place of the standard tail light?
I've been told it will but never seen it done. I'd like to put one on my Bob.
Got it off eBay for $10 w/blue dot, supposedly NOS, but who knows? J&P Cycles has a few, too. Fit stock opening perfectly, wiring a bit of a hassle and had two attachment bolts so had to drill a second hole in fender. More pics in my gallery.
Thanks guys, but what I'm really trying to find out is whether the HD light (or any other I suppose) is a straight swap. I'm avoiding doing anything that I can't undo when I eventually come to sell the bike, e.g. drilling another hole like Chipstah did. By the way, would the hole be visible if you reverted to the original light?
Don't believe it would be difficult to return to stock, but not sure as I didn't pay much attention to being able to switch back - was just so excited it fit and covered the original area so well.

I had one on my bob before it got rear ended and had to put the stock back on with the new fender. I had to mod the lich I had to make it fit on my bob. I sure liked the way it looked and I will be putting one back on it in the near furture. I think the pics are in my album if not let me know and I will post them.
