Okay earlier today I posted on how I injured my ankle, wont be able to ride till march, ride sitting in garage...blah blah blah,, you get the point. So what does Rob do? I just get in my suv "cage of death" and ride down down to the local HD. Once inside I decided "well rob why dont you just spend some of that disposable income that really isn't disposable". Lo and behold I just bought vance and hines slip-ons, high flow AC and power pac. Figured since the bike in the garage might of well spend some dough. So guys, for those of you who have gone this route, am I going to be pleased with the outcome of my little project? Sound wise, performance wise etc etc. Thanks to everyone so far that has helped me along so far in my new addiction...
"where did I put my prozac?"
Yep, I think you'll like it. I had the Straightshots before and they sound good. But I wanted straight pipes so I changed. I also added a fuelpak and stage 1 a/c right after I got the straightshots - you will notice a difference.
I think you're going to be alright. Pres Bush has this economic stimulus package idea going....you're just a few months ahead of the game. Get out and spend that CASH!
Seriously, I've been looking at the vance & hines slip-ons with a new breather and the SERT. Everything I've read, people are pretty happy with that setup. Mine is a 2007 (low rider)with 26 miles on it (Michigan winters suck). I'm going to wait till 500 or 1000 miles before I have the SERT installed and tuned. Not sure I want the engine running at the rev limiter until its completely broke in....of course I'm sure it will be hitting thelimiter once spring gets here!
My error it was a fuel pack not a power pack...sorry for the confusion. Thanks guys I should have it up and running before friday, will post new pics when I can. As far as my wife is concerned, she actually knew I was doing this, shes been kind of supportive from start to finish and actually had a hand in picking out my Low Rider. Now if i could just talk her into inviting that cute friend over one night...j/k
