Default Levers

o.k., you are all going to wonder if i'm stupid, which i plead the 5th.....but I got some chrome trigger levers on the way. I have changed them on jap bikes many times, no problem. I see Harley doesn't use a bolt and nut to hold theirs on, they use a pin and clip. Other than that am I in for any surprises?

ez, you might wanna pick up new circlips beforehand.

Sometimes they stretch out of shape during the removal process,
and once in a while they get misplaced.

Can't remember now if you need to shim the brake light switch
for lever removal.

And don't forget the anti rattle spring.

+1
You can also break the plastic plunger on the brake light actuator. This will result in a brakelight that stays on all the time. I broke my plunger and ended up just removing the switch, the rear brake has a switch too, so I have to be sure I use the rear brake when I stop.

If you rip the boot the plunger is history, It's like a little bigger than a thread.. LOL .... You need to fix that switch... there not hard ... Your delaying the Brake light.. And that's not a good thing...
