...first off. I can see why he's wanting to part ways with the Sportster for 2-up riding. My *** still hurts from riding one for 14 years...lol.Lot's of fun solo for tossing around corners andgiving the smaller "CC"crotch rocket guys fits though. But he's trying to keep the cost low, so the Dyna's would at least fit the bill for him. I agree with the other posters that if they're going to 2-up ride all the time and you can swing the bigger price tag ...go for something like a Heritage classic or Road King.

jwb47......... either you're not married, divorced or I pitty any woman who associates with you.If you treat a lady like she should be, or how you expect people to treat you, you'll never have a problem with with "toys" you boysmight like to purchase.
I really hope you're post was just in jest.
And tomfuchs2004.......yep, she's a keeper. How about buying her a bike of her own. That's what my hubby did last year, and over the winter, is adding ( after parts and labordiscounts) $3,000 worth of chrome to my Low Rider so I can shine. What a guy!!!
No worries. I'm not offended by jwb47's comments. I thought it was kinda funny. He was probably kidding around, but okay if he wasn't. To each his own. I was an infrantry drill sgt. for 14 years so I'm plenty capable of having it my way when I want or need to. But when it comes to home...well, "happy wife, happy life" comes to mind

Nice looking bike by the way, and get the 3" heels baby, LOL

Beforeanyone takes jwb47's comments the wrong way, take a look at his recent posts. The poor guy negotiated the deal of the century and got his dealer to throw in a stage 2 103" upgrade on a brand new Fat for the cost of the parts ALMOST 3 WEEKS AGO. He's just found out the MOCO won't ship the parts till the end of this month at the earliest, then he's got to hope the dealer gets the job done before the season ends.

I'd be cranky as hell. Can't be mad at this fellow biking brother when he's paid up front but still has no ride. Serenity now! Serenity NOW!!!

PS - It's gonna be one sweet ride when it's done. It's gonna be so fast, the bugs are gonna sandblast the paint!

I wouldn't want my wife's input on what bike I buy any more than she'd want mine on what shoes she buys.

If she was going to ride with me though I'd want to make sure the bike was comfortable for her [sm=lol.gif]

At this point it's wide open between any model Dyna or Softail. We are planning a date to go on test rides when the weather breaks. Oh and YES she is a KEEPER!

to quote sargent hulka " lighten up francis " I was being sarcastic and making a joke that only a married man could appreciate. I do appreciate your concern for my wife , but I will tell you I dont treat my wife like I do everybody else , if somebody disrespect her or hurts her in any way that is the fastest way I know to get a size 12 boot in the place that dont see much sun.

this is how I mistreat my wife I was going to buy a new bike last fall but saw my wife drooling over this , so I put the new bike on hold and got her the car for christmas.

SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD CHOICE TO ME BUT I DONT LIKE THE RUST COLOR ON THE 08 WIDE GLIDE. GOOD BIKE THOUGH!
I wish I could buy new, but no way. I should have been more specific. It will definitely be used. All the years seem to be good from 2000 to present, so not sure how specific I should be in terms of model.
Ride a pre-'06 and a '06-up dyna and you will be amazed by the difference in handling from the stouter frame and fork on the newer dynas. This is even more obvious in WGs as the increased rake and skinny "21 tire make any handling deficiencies seem worse. I've owned '93 and '02 lowriders ( both paled in handling compared to my '89 FRXS) and currently a '07 WG and the '07 is light years ahead of the older dynas. I've put 800+ mile days on all the bikes I've owned lately and the WG was nearly as comfortable as my Bagger. My wife does'nt think so, but she does'nt like long rides anyway. She's happy on the WG for sub 100 mile puts except she complains of her feet falling asleep, even with the isopegs I put on. Hope this helps.I Putseveral miles on my nephew's '04 WG and neither of us could believe the difference between that and my '07.
Tim

You should email me. I have an "04 Low Rider that I'm looking to sell. I haven't listed her yet, because I've been putting it off. Only 8300 miles, with my job not much time to ride. I hate to see her setting in the garage not getting used.
I have over$23K invested, but only asking $14K.
Email me for details if your interested.

I have just about all of the original parts and some extras. I do have the original seat and added a backrest for riding two up. Rear floorboards still on, they look good.

jwb47.........then all is forgiven. You had me going therefor awhile. I've heardguys treat women like that though. You're wife sure is luck to have a partner like you. Fabulouscar. Love that yellow.Come summer, she'll have the top down and the radio blasting away.

My local Harley Dealer is having a tough time getting rid of his bikes. Just got an email from him offering FREE GAS FOR 2 YEARS with thepurchaseof any newBIG TWIN, or FREE GAS FOR 1 YEAR ON A SPORTSTER PURCHASE. http://www.capitolhd.com/ Folks here in Michigan aregoing throughsome reallytough economic times and the dealers are having areal hard time pushing the bikes out the door. Gas here just climbed to $3.29 a gallon, and I suspect it will be pushing $3.50 by summer.

WHEW! I'm glad everything's peaceful.

Ain't it great to see that LWOS is just as agressive in protecting jwb47's wife as he is. That's what makes this forum so great - we help each other.

That's a nice car you bought the wife. I can just see it now...arm wrestling to see whether he has to ride shotgun while she burns up the twisties in the little yellow hotrod, or whether she has to tailgun on his Fat while he does the same - if he ever gets the thing delivered I'm pretty sure that a good time will be had by all no matter what!

Ride safe, and ride often!
