well thats got me thinking ..i thought a 180 tire would fit on stock sg wheel..i know they make the wide tire kit 180/60/17 se for the 06 dyna's..its suppost to be a stock replacment tire jut a little wider..
The 180 SE from Harley is made special for them to fit the 06 Dyna's.
A stock 180 is designed for a 5" rim. You can get it on a 4.5 but it will squeeze the profile. Gonna change the handling.
I put the 180SE on mine and got less than 6000 miles. It is a soft tire.
I know there is a lot of guys that have put them on and have no problems. Well not me.
oh gee!! Same concept in the 4x4 world, most of Super Swamper tires tend to be larger than actual size. other brands goes under than actual. i dont know why.
guys -Dunlop just got new line of tire out, which is called RoadSmart, i read about it and its suppose to be very good tire. they have 160-200s. looks similar to avons. Check out the actual sizes of each tire sizeto see if they are bigger than the mez 170s.
