I replaced the switch housings on my bob and found it entertaining how the wiring ran to a plug in the corner of the frame, just above the front rocker plate. I used one of Muds mods to push out the connectors, tape them into a loop, tie some string to it and fish it back to the handlebars, then make your change and pull the wires back through. Don't think it will help much if you are moving them to the front. But I am sure there will be some slack that you need to take out of the wiring.
As for the belt guard, I'm now looking for a black street bob version of the chrome version we have. I'm thinking of removing it till I get a black version. I'll let you know if I get pelted with rocks in the mean time. Keep us updated with the relocation of lights. [8D]
