Uh actually......I think a man's @ss looks F.I.N.E. in a nice fitting pair of jeans and chaps. Man, there was this guy leaned over the counter at the Harley store the other day and..............oh nevermind, you guys don't care! LOL Let's just say I really enjoyed the view!
Wow you can actually buy chaps ?
Sorry I live in the Uk I thought chaps only came as part of the H.O.G mebership pack as they are the only people you will ever see wearing them here. Everyone else on a harley/cruiser wears jeans either leather or denim. WHislt I admit chaps look good over a pair fo skin tight jeans on a girl I can never shake the YMCA/Blue Oyster bar image out of My head when I see men wearing them.
I felt the same way until we went for a ride early in the day and rode home at 3:00amand the temperature had dropped to the point that denim jeans didn't help to keep out the chill.
A pair of chapsdefinitely come in handy - we never leave for a ride without them in the saddlebags.
1. Sizes vary by mfg.
2. Side zip only, for ALL the reasons previouslystated*
3. Try 'em before you buy 'em. Don't worry about the length, they can be cut-off to fit.

Scooter Wench, by being able to enjoy the look of the opposite sex in leather, you sound like my kind of woman....
Chaps come in all kinds of sizes, shapes, and material. Fit is of utmost importance. You have to try them on ... over top of your jeans. They have to be long enough to cover the tops of your boots when you are sitting on your bike. The waist is often adjustable with a belt buckle. They should fit snug but not tight (remember leather will stretch out)... and definately not baggy (because they will just flap too much). Zippers are most often on the sides of the leg. They won't scratch anything...unless your standing and leaning against something...so don't do that!
Make sure to get a good grade of leather (heavier, tougher)...try to stay away from the lighter more fashion conscious leather grades...they stretch a lot (expecially in the knees) and will wear out...due to the delicate leather.
There are so many vendors that sell them...at any motorcycle rally or gathering.Even Sears sells them...Order them, and try them on, if you don't like the size reorder. EASY!
