Cycle Shacks sound great and have good performance. They have been around since the 70's.
Can be found on the net from $100 - $150. Also check your local indy.
Over the years I've had a few pipes (mufflers and compete set-ups). I like the Cycle shack slip-ons, got 'em for $22 off ebay one day.
Best pipes I had where the Python3 on a Softail, nice deep rumble, wish they made them for the Dynas.
Ummmm, call me Mr Dipstick but I quite like them standard. Guess I'm on me own on this one, but it's so nice to be unobtrusive when you overtake, plus when I go out I like to run through the countryside and it's nice not to be painted with the same old 'biker' brush in sensitive areas..
I'm with you Rev. I really like the sound of my FXDF "tommy gun" exhaust. Just right, has deepened a bit over the months and it's got that rumble I can hear but don't have to disturb others. Other vehicles seem to see and hear me fine.
+1 for Khrome Werks. I prefer the 3" HP Plus over the 2 1/2's though. Twice as loud as stock, and won't **** off your neighbors. Go to YouTube and give all the brands suggested a listen.
V&H straight shot slipons - sound great (std. baffles) and look good (not so much like a slipon). and you can get the quiet baffle for cheap. The std. baffles are loud though...just the way I like it.
