I removed mine and I'm not worried about night riding safety. I'm convinced that motorcycle safety is based on how you ride, not how many reflectors your ride has on it.

in my state, front and rear reflectors on both sides are required to pass inspection. something ive been considering doing is getting some of that reflective tape, and just putting it on the outward side of the front signals, so i could clean up the forks

I say pull 'em off. The dimishment of the wind resistance against the reflector is like a 25HP gain

Also, how do you pull them off without damaging the paint on the rear fender or the clear coat on the forks???

Used a hair dryer to loosen up the adhesive, ran nylon fishing line behind the reflectors, pulled the line back and forth down the length of the reflector to break the adhesive from the fender/forks, and then they peeled right off. Then used WD-40 to remove the adhesive residue.

Debating on whether I should take the side reflectorsoff on my Fat Bob. Don't they help at night?
If the bikes didnt come with them, and Harley sold them on the website or in the dealers, everyone here would be adding them as "mods".

"See and be seen" is the key to motorcycle safety. What is the common refrain of other motorists who hit riders? "I didn't even see him (her)!"

You are more visible at night with the reflectors. Park the bike somewhere at night and drive up from the side at different angles in another bike or a car. Then cover up the reflector. and do the same thing again. Judge for yourself whether the style points you gain are worth what you give up in visibility. Make sure to check the laws in your state, too.

Not quite everyone.

Oh Come on (I'll say it) They really make the bike look like Sh!+. They shouldadd some on the Spokes and make it loook like a 10 speed. While they are at it they can put Baseball cards on and produce a better than Stock sound.

stagolee, you're worried about being seen? Didn't you just put on Thunderhead? I don't think you have to worry bout that...

I ripped mine off. I've never seen reflectors on a bike actually work unless light is directly shone within a short distance.

Took them off my forks but haven't gotten to the rear ones yet but they are coming off too. Tank emblems are gone too. I need to update my pic...that will happen someday too...after I wash it..which will also happen ...someday....too..
