Does any one know how to removea 06 superglide ingition switch w/o the harley tool or just remove the connector from the back of the switch. Also, can you reachback ofthe switch from the under tank access. I am going to install a guard dawg keyless set-up and just tring to figure it all out before starting.
Thanks
I didnt install a guard dawg, all I did was move the switch to teh console, like it should have been to begin with.
Remove the plastic cover under the neck, stick your fingers in the vicinity of the switch and you'll feel the harness. Wiggle it a little and it will disconnect from the switch.
Since I dont know what a guard dawg is, what you do with the harness is up to you. Leave the old lock in place so you can manually lock the neck when the need arises.

I have one on order myself, and there is no real reason to remove the switch. I plan on leaving well enough alone just in case the Guard Dawg malfunctions or I feel the need to lock the bike. I'm lazy also.
Doug,
i got pics somewhere, but I cant find 'em.
Try to picture this, Mine looks just like yours, except my screwheads are showing, and my console is vivid black.
I've got some ideas on a different way of doing it, but that wont happen until i get my grubbys on another console to hack up.
