Ive done it. Left the key on for a few hours and the bike was dead. Luckily my buddies drive way slopes down pretty good. However, we did have to push itBACK up a few times. : ) Got it on the third try.

My driveway slopes down pretty good too, which is what got me to thinking about this recently. The battery was dead on my bike, because I had the charger set to 6 volts instead of 12 volts (like an idiot.) I thought for a brief second about riding it down the driveway to push start it, but then I realized that it would SUCK if it didn't work. There's no way I could get it back up the driveway myself to charge the battery. I'd have to run an extension cord to it and charge it while it's on the street. lol... No thanks. I just didn't go riding that day.
yes you can! I have had mine completely dead after leaving the key on all night, put it in second, got to running then popped that clutch FIRED UP!!! the whole time i was trying (and it did take like 8 trys) my dad is standing there with his arms crossed saying you can not start a fuel injected bike like that... i have done it before TONS of times on rockets... i did not see a reason why i could not on my bob... sure enough! roared to life! be sure you have it in 2nd gear and you are golden (pretty much every bike when you pop start them should be in 2nd
Guess it depends just how "dead" the battery is. I didn't have 8 chances
