If you unbolt the top mount and push the engine side to side, does it feel like the engine is hitting up on something in the frame? Are the shocks set at the same preload? What about undoing the lower shock bolts and see if there is any difference. Are swing arm bushings good? Front fork tubes set at the same height? Bikes history, accidents, damage? I'm running out of ideas here.

well I pulled the rear shocks off and put some slack in the belt to take all tension off the rear wheel and swing arm. I noticed some play the rear wheel-left to right like your checking for a loose tie-rod on a car. I guess Ill do the bearings. Then I removed the wheel to take all the weight off the swing arm. Sitting on the ground at the rear of the bike looking at the rear mount I got some play(very little) from left to right . to take it a step farther I removed the chrome cap that covers the head of the pivot bolt on the right hand side of the swing arm and inside I found a bunch of ground up material that feels like Teflon tape. I wonder if this is a tell tale sigh of the bushing going bad?? I also see that my rear tire is cupped on both sides. Could all these things be the reason I cant get the wheels vertically aligned ?? My original problem has been a bad vibration around 2000 rpm during acceleration and\or deceleration do you think these problems could be the cause??
