Hi guys i need a little info, im coming up on the 1000 mile service im thinking about going with amsoil in all three holes. i was wondering if the stealer will put it in if i buy it and take it to them??? what do you guys think? thanks for the help in advance
Why not change it yourself? Dealers set their own policies, but when I had my early services done, my dealerknocked off the cost of the oil and some shop time from their regular service fee. They did everything else. Just keep good records in case of a warranty claim. Some owners even take date-stamped photos of changing the oil. I just record the date/time, mileage, type of oil and filter. I cut out the side of the filter box and tape it in the notebook. So I'm only half-****.
get a service manual and do it yourself. it will take you no longer than 1 hr. to change all 3 holes. Make sure you also get the 3 o rings you will need on the drain plugs and teflon tape them also.I use Amsoil in all 3....20w-50 in the crank, 10w-40 in the primary and 75-90 in the trany and everything is quieter, coolerand smoother than with the HD oilit came with.

yea, i know people that do it. if your dealer won't get a new one. they charge for labor plus parts. if you supply the parts (legal of course) they only charge for labor. i do it myself but i did have dealer perform 1000 mile just in case.
good luck and Amsoil is a good way to go
