I bought the chrome Screamin' Eagle high flow backing plate, added the K&N round filter, and added the HD chrome round air cleaner cover.

I removed the stock trim ring from the original A/C cover and mounted it on the new round cover.

Joe, you did basically what he can do out of the box with the AN kit. However, when you get to the step where it tells you to put the stock a/c cover on, forget it. You'll need a round cover of some sort or some cover that mounts with a hole in the center and is big enough to cover the filter. The AN kit comes with a K&N filter so he won't need to purchase that separately. Just install what's in the box, per the instructions and then add the cover of your choice.

Oh, and while on the subject of instructions, be sure to torqueALL ofthe bolts to the specs and don't just grind them tight. The backing plate can and will brake from vibration if not installed to specs.
