I have an early FXDX - bought new and love this bike. At the time of getting it I was looking at Evo Dyna's and FXR's but decided the Twin Cam motor did it for me. Otherwise the FXR. I also recall through the 90's a majority of Harley riders hated the side panels on the FXR saying it made it too much like a Jap bike. So a great handling, high-performance Harley had to die because of the fashion police. I'd like a modern FXR personally.

was the FX model that had a frame mounted faring and hard bags, back in the 1990s, a FXRSP? I remember some LE departments using them.

fxrp, OK, I still see a few nice examples around, usually in a two tone red and metalic grey. Those saddle bags look to be the biggest the MOCO has ever made. If you count out the buell ulyesees.

There were two models with tourpac and saddlebags... FXRT FXRP FXR T was a touring model FXR P was the police model... If I recall correctly the FXR P Bags open opposite of FXR T just like the bigger bikes. I wouldnt mind having a FXRT in my collection of Fixed Faring Bikes, as I have a 10 FLTRX and looking for a late 80s early 90s FLT as well as wanting the one year 98 FLTR (Only RoadGlide with EVO)
