When you look down on the risers you see that the cap is not centered over the bolt. I have to ask is yours toward the front or to the rear? Reason I ask is that I read that some have changes the neck washer without taking off the handle bars and I cannot get a socket on the nut without taking th ehandle bars off.
I had to remove my bars to change the steering stem nut washer. I had a friend hold the bars while I did the work. I also adjusted my fall-away at the same time (which I would recommend everyone do). If you do this, put the bars back on and snug the cap screws until the fall-away is set. Then pull the bars again and torque the steering stem nut to spec.
Thanx. Just made me wonder if my dealer put the risers on wrong. I have seen the clutch cable run in two different places. One goes over the handle bars and then behind them and down infront of the tank. The other way is the clutch cable stays infront of the handle bars all the way. Mine is run the first way.
