Hey all, Im looking for some low cost performance upgrades for my 88ci. 2006 street bob. I have bassani 2-1 road pipes with big sucker a/c and PCIII - getting it dyno'ed and tuned this week. Are there any other low cost options that im able to add on to increase horsepower/torque?
Ive been reading a lot about cams, and heads and all that but I have no idea what any of this stuff is (im ashamed, I know..) but Im willing to learn whats good and whats not.
some small bolt-in cams would help alot! I think the Andrews 26 is kinda small for a dyna, but it offers a good kick for some torque.

some other more robust cams would be the Woods 6 or the Head-Quarters TC-500, both will support a 95 ci upgrade with moderate compression increases. the HQ cam is around 100$ cheaper than the Woods.
Those HQ TC-500 look good and are reasonably priced. How hard is the install? What numbers are you getting with your bike, mentor? You seem to know your stuff. \\;
i have heads and a 95 on my 06 dyna...i would recommend a woods cam any day...they just make power and a flat torque curve...i would call there and see if you could respring your heads and then drop a tw-8 in for .590 lift then get it dyno tuned...not to mention the sound would change a bunch
agreed, i have been told over and over wood cams are where it is at, i am planning on doing a 204 maybe a 211 cam this summer... but as Eric told me, if we do these cam upgrades then do a full build our old cams are gone to the wind... I just want some more power for this summer and that will do it! if you are going to pay for the dyno, i would wait and do the cams then DYNO you will be much happier! plus the bike will have a sick sound while at idol and speed.
Ok, all this stuff is so confusing. Where can I find just a bolt on Cam upgrade? Is this something that I can just put on and thats it? Or do I need to change other things within the engine? Im very new to this stuff, so be easy on me!
