I picked one up off eBay. Should have it next week, I assume. I had an incident this morning that makes feel even better about purchasing the TFI. After letting the bike idle for a minute or two this morning while preparing to ride, I gave the throttle a little blip and the bike hesitated and almost died before responding. Is that a sign of being lean?
One question, for those who did a self install...
Do I only need to loosen the fuel tank bolt under the seat to be able to lift the tank enough to get to the injector clips? Can I leave all other hoses and tank bolts intact? Thanks.
Man..There have been a couple people who have had a problem with codes. From reading around this was due to crossed wires.? But they got a new one and the problem was still the same??
You'll want to losen the tank bolts phront and back, and disconnect the phuel line. You need to be able to get to the tunnel under the tank to place the wiring in it. Really not difficult. You do have a service manual, right?
Thanks, Phreak. Yeah, I have a manual. I was reading through it yesterday and had that question. Is it that quick release thing on the left side I need to unhook (fuel line)? Will fuel spill?
Yah thats is BS...My tank ran dry. I found this out whenever i put the turn signals on the forks.. HAHA..If you disconnect it turn the key on. no don't. it sprays.
But for real i have seen that a few people have had problems with this unit. I'm not down talking it because i am probably going to chance it and use it but i have read some crap that doesn't sit to easy.
