Default I need Air Shock Help?

I installed a pair of the low profile(12in) touring air shocks on my bob.&nbsp\\; They the chrome aftermarket ones that midwest motorcycle supply makes.&nbsp\\; I purchased them from Easternperformance.&nbsp\\; Well anyways, I did not recieve any instructions on what the recommended air pressure requirements are.&nbsp\\; I have head Joe say you put be between 5 &amp\\; 10 psi and then I have heard you put the smae amount of air as the harley ones between 19 &amp\\; 25 psi.&nbsp\\; I called Eperformance and their tech is gone for the next week.&nbsp\\; I called midwest and they refused let me ask the them my question.&nbsp\\; So any of you dyna riders out that have put on the touring shocks, did you get type of air pressure requirement info and if so, what are the specs?

Recommended air pressures

0-10 lbs for a 150-lb to 200-lb rider.

5-15 lbs for a 200-lb to 250-lb rider.

20-25 lbs for a rider with passenger.

FL air preload rear suspension range is 0-35 lbs of pressure.

FLHRS and FLXH low-profile shocks are 0-50 lbs max.

This may have already been discussed on this forum, but which HD part numbers work for the lowering air shocks.&nbsp\\; I've got a Dyna that I want to replace the low rider shocks on and put the 12" air shocks.&nbsp\\; I know part number 54631-98 will work, I'm wondering if 54662-02A will work.&nbsp\\; The bike is a 92 FXDC but I want to lower it just a bit since I'm not that tall and the bike is spindly to begin with.

Love your Green Machine, WS6.&nbsp\\;I think it's begging for the chrome lower belt guard, though. Just my opinion, but I am recognized as the world's leading authority in my opinion.

oil weight not being discussed here and thats very important

the touring shocks come with 5wt which will be way to squishy
for the ride angle on the dynas.

when i put a set on my wide glide last year i took them off the same
day to replace the oil i went with a 10wt synthetic and only needed 10lb
with me at 160 and 15-18 with my wife on the back at 130 the ride
was perfect.

so if you can find out what weight came in the new shocks it will go
a long way in determining what air pressure you need to run in them.

dtone
with 7wt i would start at 10lbs and go up 2lbs at a time from there.
