Suppost to ride this morning but its raining (of coarse) Anyways, friends are poking fun at my Fat Bobs stock exhaust, you know the usual, "Is that thing running?" Etc. Etc. I was gonna wait and do the stage 1 and dyno with vance and hines big shots. But I'm hearing the Rush mufflers are really good both for sound and cost.
Does anyone know soundwise and performance difference between 1.75" and 2" ? Just want to shut up my buddies and make my bike sound like a Hog. PS I hate rain but love the info on this site.
I almost went with Rush mufflers...........but decided to go with Vance &\\; Hines Big Radius. They sound great.............they would shut your buddies up!!

I have 1.75 Rush, I wish I would have got the 1.50 (going to order asap) 1.75's are LOUD!!! Sounds great, I just dont want that much noise on 1k + rides
I was thinking bout the Rush, still am, but the thunderheader looks more my style, butt ugly and a great performance pipe. Im really trying to hold off for the TH. If you want a LITTLE more noise, pull the baffles, take out the fiberglass, punch a hole in the center plug, thats what I did after talking to another member and Im still running that way till I get GOOD pipes. I put a set of V &\\; H straitshots on and while I loved the sound I lost a little power even with a new map on my PCIII, I sold them to my brother in law, he was running some god awfull open pipes you could drive a Mac truck thru and even with the baffles out of the V &\\; H he got more power. Im much more interested in power than sound, even tho I want it louder Im not going to downgrade power for sound. TH is reputed to be an EXLNT power pipe so thats my goal, but you would probly be happy with the Rush they are 1/2 the price and retain the stock look which I like.
The Rush are absolutely great especially when trying to keep the stock look. \\;\\\\\\; You'll get the best price from www.fuelmotousa.com \\;\\\\\\;and you can order any size you want. \\;\\\\\\; I love 'em but I'll have to change at some point to a 2 into 1 cause I'm tired of scraping them like the stock ones. You can also get sound bits (granted they only sound as good as your computer speakers) from their main website at http://www.epiflex.com/dyna.html

Have you tightened your shocks up? It really helps with the pipe scraping. From what I can tell, some of the two-into-ones sit lower than stock. That is one of my main concerns with Thunderheader. Those look really low.

I will probably be going with the fat cat because it has an upswept design that will help. Truth be told I will still probably scrape it as well because I oh so love to corner this bike. My pegs are worn and the lower heat shield is scraped up to.
