Well all, I just took my bob out for it's first real ride. I live in North Jersey so I figured a ride down to the shore would be fun. Went down to LBI. Gave her 300 miles on the odometer. Only 80 more until she is all broken in. I have to say that it feels great. It loves to cruse. That 6th gear is awesome. And it pulls like there is no tomorrow. Not that I was cranking on it. But at times I couldn't resist my self. So tonight I relax and let my **** get feeling back and get on the saddle tomorrow. Then once I get back I will put the slip ons, Hyper Charger, and PCIII on. I just fell in love with it all over again. Though I do have to say that on the highway the seat gets a little uncomfy. Thank god I have the passenger pegs back there. I was able to move my feet back and move around a bit. All in all it was wonderful. A beautiful day, and great times had with my friends and I. Talk to you all later.
Hey bro...jersey here as well. The stock seats are just crap. I found that out and within 3 weeks of buying my bike, I had a new seat. HD makes a bunch, as well as the aftermarket...you should definitely look into it because as far as I'm concerned, comfort is the most important part of it all...especially if you're doing all day trips.
Make sure you keep in touch with us here....I think once the warm weather officially breaks, we're gonna try to get a bunch of us jersey folks together for some rides.
veniculum, I would like to meet up and ride with Jersey guys from the forum. I rode out to New Hope and Frenchtown today with a group of 7 riders. New Hope was a mob scene. I also changed my seat. I put on a Corbin Gunfighter with backrest. Not really good for 2 up riding, but i can ride for hours in comfort. I'll be watching for any ride info. I live in Manalapan.
It would be great to meet up for a ride sometime. So where in Jersey is everyone? I am up in Kinnelon. It is by the 287, 23 intersection. And about the seat. I think I will just deal with it for this season. I already spent about 2 grand on it and the break in isn't even done. So I am done this year. Unless the girlfriend starts complaining.
Well I can only hope that she doesn't complain too much. HAHA. I have never had problems with my pipes down there. Although I was only there for 40 min. Up at Americade I was told that any loud pipes wouldn't be tolerated and my old bike (Yamaha Virago w/drag pipes, and my dads heritage w/longshots never were lookes at twice) Let em stop me It is all legit. HAHA Well I hope we can all get together some time in the summer.

RE: First real ride
You guys are making me home sick with all the local runs. I'm born and raised in Philly. I remember as a kid going up to Lahaska & New Hope with ma. Is Zadar's still in New Hope? We use to go to that club/bar when I was 21. Only two good things in the South, the cost of living and the weather. I pretty much ride year round. And I can afford a house with a nice size garage to park & work on my girls.
