FXDB 08 with mid controls, I'm 5' 8" and the fit is almost perfect. I had forward controls on a 1200XL and I did not have to reach for the forwards. The Lindy bar I wanted did not work with forwards so I said, save $400 and leave it stock. I ride mostly city. \\; \\;Maybe on long highway rides forwards, would be more comfortable? But then again I can put my feet up on the Lindy's also.
I'm 5'7" and have forward controls on my Low Rider. \\; I think my inseam is longer than 29", but I don't have a problem reaching at all. \\; In fact, I feel cramped on the Low Rider with mid controls.
I'm 5'7" with a 28 or 29" inseam.
I have the Harley Reach seat and the one in my \\;PIC is a Wideglide with padding added to mimic the Reach seat.
No problems touching.
I also recommend the heel rests for a comfortable setup.
Why not have the best of both worlds and a choice of a different riding position keep the mids on and get the highway pegs/extenders from HD?I am 5'10 32 inseam.
Alot of it will depend on your seat. \\; With the sundowner solo seat I had a hard time being comfortable on longer rides with my forwards. \\; with the badlander, no problem. \\; I am 5'7"
