Default forward controls for a short guy w/ low rider

I am 5'8" with a 29" inseam. I have been told two different things about the forward controls.&nbsp\\;One says it would definitely be too long and one says it would no problem.&nbsp\\;I have a 2006 low rider.&nbsp\\;Highway pegs I have to bend my foot because of the filter.&nbsp\\;I thought about Kuryakyn extenders for the pegs.&nbsp\\;and just how forward do the Harley fwd controls take it past the mids?&nbsp\\; Any help would be appreciated.

This is on a wg. I measured from the front bolt of the mid control mount to the rear bolt of the fwd mount. 8.5". The actual fwd peg is an additional 2.5"-3" fwd. Hope that helps

I have an 05 Lowrider with forward controls, and I'm about your exact height, inseam and all. And I have no problems with it. I can reach my pegs without any problem with even a little bend in my knees LOL!!

there's a whole thread here about how great mid controls are...I'm 5'9", I've got a 2007 low rider with HD forwards and I don't care what the consensus is, I find this setup very comfortable for me, my legs are still bent at the knee, I'm not reaching at all.&nbsp\\; Forwards move your foot up about a boot legnth or so.

I'm 6"0 with a 30 inch inseam. I have the +2 inch Kuryakyn forward controls and they are great. Left the stock footpegs on for a different foot position on longer rides.&nbsp\\;

At 5-9, 30" inseam, floorboards and a Lindby bar were the perfect fit:

if you find that the forward controls are too far forward, you can always use the kuryakin extenders to bring them back a little bit..
