 \\; \\; \\; Does anyone out there have or has seen forward control extension kits for the Fat Bobs? The standard wideglide kits do not fit. I'm 6'5" tall and a little extra leg room would be nice. Thanks in advance.
I'm 6'5 as well, I put the kury forward control highway peg mounts on. \\; I don't mind the stock forward pegs for regular riding but when I'm cruising the highway for long periods the the highway pegs give me a nice place to stretch out and relax. \\;
I am 6'1" and I just bought a Fat Bob about two weeks ago. Within a week I drove up to northern Michigan, about 270 miles. I ended up putting on about 350 miles that day and the only thing that hurt were my inner thighs because the forward controls were not long enough. That said, much better than the crotch rocket bikes I have owned in the past. Needless to say, i was wondering the same thing, I am glad I found this post!
 \\; \\;  \\; \\; \\; \\; I don't think there are any difference with the forward control mounts but that does'nt seem to be the problem. \\; It's the rear brake linkage that is my main concern. I have a kury extension kit on my 02 fxdwg and the brake rod configuration is different.
The wideglide kit won't fit on the Fat Bob with the stock header pipe. I just installed a set of V&\\;H short shot staggered on the FB and I think that the extensions on my 02 fxdwg might fit on the Fat Bob. I'm going to try a swap this week when I get a little time. I'll post the results when I'm finished.
