I got some questions , Im a tall guy 6'6 I have a FXDI I have forward controls but thier just not enuff when i wanna strech (sp?) out , are there any more pegs I can addon or do I have to keep just hanging my foot over the contols?
2ndly How much lower is the low rider version verse my fxdi ? cause I'd wanna lower it some .
And last but not least since Im fairly tall and I want to strech out whats a comfortable handle bar ? I hate that feeling like im hunched over
I've seen extension kits for the foreward controls. I believe they are made by Kuryakyn.
About 3/4"
I'm adding Wild1 mini apes. Height and Pullback are the same a stock FXDWG. But the hand grips are at a better angle. I find them extremly comfortable.
Like bobcowan says kuryakyn for the forward control extension. Wideglide mini apes are really comfortable and look great on any Dyna. Ground clearance on a 2006 FXD is 6.0" Ground clearance on a 2006 Lowrider is 5.6" As you can see not that much difference. Harley has a low rear shock kit that will bring your ground down by 1.0" .
i have the kuryakyn 3"extention kit on my 04 fxd .
it replaces the black brake rod with chrome and a longer shifter rod
.. i think it was about $179.00. well worth it being tall.. hope this helps.
Yes I saw those kman42oo , I think those will soon be bought . As for handlebars I went to the Wild1 site and saw some of the drag bars for my bike anyone have any of those on thier bikes? If not those I was thinking of a roadking style handlebar ?
i've not seen those bars but i have the wideglide bars on mine and they really helped me alot... with the froward ext. and the bars it fits perfect.. oh and i'm about 6'4".
