I went into my local H-Dealer today for brake pads and saw that everything in stock was 30 percent off for the rest of the month. So lo and behold they had ANBS there just klike it had my name on it or something! Of the 15 or so boxes there was only one that fits dynas the rest were for flh's,so really that one was destined for me!
Enough blabering and on to the question.....
I'm running stock exhaust,AN big sucker, and Xied's.The tek at HD told me if there is anything wrong and I need a download I would be able to tell as i started the motor. I started it it sounds better starts better and I swear I feel a few extra ponies.
Am I safe to ride like this or will I go into piston melt down? C'mon guys help a noob.I did the install myself and changed back brake pads today.
Cheers !
I am no expert but from what I have read if you do either a A/C upgrade or a Exhaust upgrade you should be alright with the XiED's. Just as long as you don't do them both I would say that you will be alright. I run a set of SEII Slip on with no A/C upgrade along with the XiED's and have not noticed a problem at all. Some people will say that you can run aftermarket exhaust and an aftermarket a/c with the Xied's but I personally am not sure about this.
I would run 100 miles and do a plug check. There is a spark plug chart on the forums. Do a search for it and compare your plugs. If its to lean then get a fuel management system.Even if its not to lean at first keep checking those plugs for awhile to make sure.

Good advice. It seems there is no definitive answer on this one. Not only do people have different opinions on the subject, the results of many vary as well. Besides listening and feeling how it's running, do plug checks. If it looks okay, then you are okay. The first year and a half I had my bike I was under the impression that anytime you change the a/c, you must do something to add fuel, period. However, according to what I'm reading in industry mags and seen some people report on this website, I'm not so sure that's the case with closed loop EFI bikes.
