Default So I installed my AN Big Sucker Stage 1

All went well but how do I know if I need to do any type of fuel tuning? The instruction pamplet just says I "may" have to, but how can I tell? Seemed to run good on a 100 mile trip.

Any time you upgrade from stock air induction, you should re-map.

I guess I should have asked this even before I bought it and put it on. If I don't do any other mod, is the AN Air Cleaner even worth leaving on alone without the rest of the stage 1 changes (pipes mainly)

Not really. You can usually change out exhaust without re-mapping. the best way to upgrade is exhaust first, then a/c and remap when you can afford it. I would check spark plugs right now to see how your burn is. Tan is normal, white is lean, and black is rich.

Banjo Bolts 10-12 ft/lbs, others 3-5 ft/lbs. Basically followed the AN directions that came with it.

I fell into the marketing trap I think, reading where I would gain the 20% HP increase by changing the filter, which was only $135, compared to the $300ish price for the pipes. I can afford the pipes and tuner, but I figured the AC was my first way to get me into doing the work myself before I jumped on something bigger. Lesson learned..

Actually, changing exhaust & A/C along with a good tune will get you about 5 h.p. max.
