Starting troubles....???
Ok I have built a pretty stout 95" motor, well lately I have been having a little trouble starting... as if my battery is dead, it clicks clicks clicks and then turns over, but my battery is brand new and I charge it once a week. Or actually "tend" it! I was wondering if the compression was to much and I just needed a bigger starter or something like that?? Please help??
yep, sounds like the battery not maintaining its voltage under load.
But the Denso starter on the bikes will also just click when the soleniod contacts are just about worn out, i assume your 2005 model bike hasnt done that much starting?

The higher compression bikes are harder to start especially when they are hot. Do you have the extra hole in the heads for compression releases ? If so, I would install them and if not I would start by checking out the electrical system. Even if the electrical checks out, you may have to have the heads drilled.
