Hey Newhawk, your bike looks great! Love the look of the Fat Cats and the tank lift. BTW are you happy with the Fat Cats in terms of quality, performance and sound? I also like the tall sissy bar (WG is one of the few bikes that in my opinion looks good with tall sissy bars) and the bags are not bad either (like the fact that they are plain). Are they detachable?
I am very pleased with the Fat Cat, it can be quiet rolling down the neighborhood but twist the throttle and it roars. I added an Andrews 26h at the same time as the pipes, got it tuned and the performance gains puts the bike right where I want it.
I tried the easy rackets on the bags but it made them stick out so far with the detachable sissy bar I had to remove them. Someday I'll find the type of detachable setup I want.
2007 FXDWG I have 12000 miles no problems. Did a few mods since it was bought.
Thanks, good to know that 2007 fxdwg are going strong! Can you please give me info about your saddlebags and Tbag? Brand? Are they detachable? Are you happy with them in terms of quality, storage, etc?

Thanks about the info on the Fat Cats. They are in my wish list. They look great and have heard nothing but good things about them. BTW, what's an Andrews 26h?

The bags were bought from www.leatherneckjims.com. I just completed a 6000 mile ride with plenty of room for things. I used the easybrackets with no problems. The bags were the 12oz heavy weight premium full grain leather. They a uv protected and kept everything dry. On my ride I went from San Antonio texas to Eureka Calif. thru all kinds of weather as in rain and shine with everything staying dry. I think they are the best in quality. Also you can add to your storage with their duffle bags. The will strap on to any of the bags I have. That is next on my wish list a couple of duffle bags.

Thanks formike. I went to the website. Their bags look good (I like the plain Tomcats) and the prices are not that bad either (compared to hd and Boss bags). I also like the idea of long straps to put leather jackets etc on. From the pic it seems that the bags stay close to the fender with the easy brackets (do you have a detach sissy bar?). I'll definately consider them.
Thanks Jason. I am sorry to hear you had to give up your 06 bike, and ended up with one that you like less. I pretend that I did not hear that the 06 bikes are better, it would make me more hapy with my purchase I like the sissy bar/rack setup you run on your bike. I am undecided betweeen this setup and one with detachable backrest and a sport rack. Any pros/cons between these set ups apart from cosmetic differences? E.g., do sport racks support bigger bags? But I guess I already know what your answer will be since you chose the same set up on the 07 bike.
The main reason I went with this system is because I think the Wide Glide with out a sissy bar looks like it isn't finished. That is to say wide Glide should come from the factory with a sissy bar, and in fact it did, right up to the 2006 Dyna upgrade. Also one con for the quick detach, is, some a** hole can easily walk by and steal it. The permanent one is not going any where. The rack is there, and is plenty useful. I actually prefer the look of the bike with out it but I use it so much, I have to keep it on there all the time.

The Andrews 26h is a bolt in cam.
The cam. Fat Cats and a tune brought my hp to 87 and my tq to 97. No head work.
Busha,
The easybracket have a locking system that has not failed yet. Also the bags that I have are also lockable. I have used the locks several times while I was going to Cal. You will like the quality of the bags from Jim's. They are the heavyiest ones that I have found. The price of every thing that I bought from him would only buy the bags from the HD dealer. I have a set of Fat Cat's on my Wide Glide. I'm very pleased with them. They have a very good sound to them. When I installed the PCIII I had the bike Dyno'd. They HP was 96 and the torque was 98#. Without any other modifications to the bike. This winter the next project will be head work with new cam's, Fueling cam plate, lifter's, Fueling oil pump. That should bump it up to over 100HP... Have a good day
