It cost me just under $2200 bucks to go 20K miles over the last 12 months.
Beyond that, I could care less what the mileage is.
It's cheaper than the cage, and thats all that matters

judging from your fuel mileage, filter and exhaust you prabally have a aftermarket fuel management system or a stage 1 ecm burn,, or if its carburated its been rejetted,

It is carbeurated. I know that, cuz i gotta use the choke when she's cold. Its my first bike so Im trying to learn all i can about them. I do most all the work on my truck as far as mods go and engine work, but dont know a thing about bike engines or how to mod them out for a little more power here and there

the next step would be a sreamimg eagle ignition module it brings your rev limiter from 5400rpm to 6200 they make power to about 5600, if u want even more, those twin cam 88s respond real well to head work,a little more compression and cams

I've been riding my '09 Super Glide for two weeks now, putting about 540 miles on it. I've filled it up two or three times, but only the last time did I do it to figure mileage. At that time, I got 43mpg, but I also found this morning, that both my tires were 12 pounds low on air pressure. I don't know why I never checked them, it's something I automatically do with my truck all the time, habit, but I sure screwed up on the bike. Now I'll check the mileage again and I bet it goes up a good deal, I'll guess from 43mpg to close to 50mpg. I live out in the country and it's 12 miles to town and only one stoplight in town. I haven't gotten the bike over 55mph and shift to 6th at ~52mph. The other gears I do like this:

20 mph or less, I stay in 2nd gear
30 mph or less, I stay in 3rd
40 mph '' '' '' '' '' 4th
50 mph '' '' '' '' '' 5th

These numbers seem to keep me from over-revving since I don't have a tach and the motor's not broke in yet. Even once the rings are seated and such, I just have no need to get any 'speed' out of it...I like driving and taking my time whenever I go anywhere, I enjoy it far more and besides, I got the bike literally to save money on gas compared to my p/u, heh.
