Rewiring the turn signals under the seat....both sides wired into the violet wire in the harness, as per instructions and the service manual. Both lights flash on left signal, neither flashes on right. What's wrong here? The ground is connected properly into the black wire, fyi.

Well I finally got that wrapped up...I'll post pics of the final product tomorrow.
But for now, Kuryakyn's mini-bullets have been the most enraging piece of junk I"ve worked with since I got started working on the bike a few months back. The light housings themselves are quality and the LEDs are plenty bright....but the damn wires themselves are absolute ****. Maybe 5 or 6 fine silver strands per wire...nowhere near what's in the bike's wiring harness itself. I'd finished soldering and shrinkwrapping everything and was getting ready to put the seat back on, when the Kury wire broke...so I had to trim back the insulation and do that side all over again. I'll be taking the bike out for a good ride tomorrow to see how they hold up, but I'm going to be completely pissed if the wire breaks again while I'm out...I wouldn't care if this stuff didn't affect the bike's wiring harness, but if I have to go cutting wires or trying to get through solder to go with a different set of lights with non-crap wiring, gawd I'd hate to be around me when it happens.
sorry man i just saw this... did you get it? if you are still working on it and need help call me 417-425-9406, i have rewired my turn sigs like 10 times... the LEDS do they have resisters? i can help you wiht those as well

Yeah man, I got it worked out...at least I hope it stays that way. I snapped a Badlands load equalizer into the chain, and the LED's got cut into the rear harness under the seat.
On the outside, the LED's are exactly what I wanted in terms of looks. The wiring is just utter crap...you can barely get the insulation off without snapping most of the tiny individual strands off as well...and like I said, it broke after I soldered it too...I was ready to burn down the garage. I'm hoping they don't break again...if it holds up I'll be perfectly happy.
man make sure the wire is protected... if it shorts you will be broke down on the side of the road, it will knock out your whole lighting though the bike and short your ECM... TRUST me i have had it... remember the bike vibrates all over the place so make sure those conections are tight and wrapped

They are well wrapped...some with shrink wrap and some just well taped...the three way connections had to be taped up.
