Hey all, recently had a 103 build done and now for the past month ive been trying to get it dynoed. The guy thats doing the dyno had me go get a Stage II download from the stealer because there was a problem spot in the 3200 to 3500 rpm range. This problem is that when i get on the throttle it starts cuttin out and sputtering causing me to shift gears very quickly and rapidly. I went and got the download and returned to get it dynoed. Now hes saying that it has to be my ECM thats acting up. My question is will the stealer give me the run-around bulls*!# game because im using a powercommander for a tuner. I know the ECM itself contains a 5yr warranty so will i be covered?
Thanks in advance.

Bobber, first thing I would do is remove the PCIII..........
and see if your issue remains.
"the guy thats doing the dyno" is guessing that the ECM is forked......
maybe it is....
but, unlikely.
hey mudd thanks for your input, its always appreciated. What would be common symptoms of a bad ECM, and if the ecm isnt bad any ideas on what could be causing the problem?
Usually a bad ecm is dead, no output or input signal to the affected component. Usually a faulty component takes out a driver or circuit in the ecm or someone dicking with a circuit with a test light. Not sure if removing the pcIII will help since your build is going to be way out for the stock ecm parameters, especially for fuel management and you have the same what seems like lean issues. If the bike did not do this prior to the build then I would assume it is the tuning. I would say you need to take it to another tuner. Tough to diagnose through the intertubes. Make sure all the mechanicals are cool, like vac leaks, etc.
