Just fitted some forwards and the shift linkage supplied doesnt look long enough, anyone know how long eye to eye the Harley one is that comes with the forwards for a Streetbob?

rought guess around 13 inchs or so maybe longer. Cant remember. Are you sure its to short. Or is the shift lever for your foot and that arm just out of position.

Went and measured the linkage and its 13" long, it just looks a bit short, the foot lever and linkage lever position looks like it can be adjusted I just dont want to attempt anything without directions, the forwards didnt come with fitting instructions. I will email the manufacturer and ask them. Thanks Ohio. Oh yeah almost forgot, looks like I will need a bolt to connect the rear of the linkage to the gear change lever, they only supplied on for the front of the linkage, does anyone know what size bolt I will need?

If I remember correctly you don't need one for the back, the bolt is made into the lever, you just need a nut.

Thanks Sonetpro, I checked and it is a bolt needed, (5/16"), so no problems, the linkage is a bit short as I hooked it up but the shift pedal sits too high from the footrest, not by much but enough to be awkward. As I said will ask the manufacturer if I can adjust the angle of the footrest/lever, otherwise will have to get another linkage.

I think we are missing some info here.

What year bike?
What year do the forwards fit?

search for Ws6 posts, I think the pre 05 kit needs a longer shift lever if you install on a 06 and later.

just a thought?

Nice man, my educated guess would be you can unloosen the allen bolt and the set screws on that foot shifter and adjust to your liking.
