08 FXDF Front End Clunk

I bought my '08 Fat Bob from an individual when it had 1500 miles on it. It had the front end clunk, too. When I took it to the dealer for the 5000 mile service they adjusted the head bearing and that fixed the clunk completely. He told me that they adjust the "fall away" on every service. Now I still get a bit of brake noise from the floating rotors, but the front end clunk is gone.

Keep in mind, just because you have the hardened washer, your adjustment nut and steering head nut are not necessarily tightened to correct specs.
