I have an 05 Lowrider and have decided to do some serious mods instead of buying a new one and starting over. This ones paid for and I don't want to take a beating on trading in or selling let alone taking on another payment. I need some ideas of what to do with my triple trees. I am about to have my sliders replaced with some new chromes ones I picked up off eBay for cheap and some progressive springs I am waiting for Fed Ex to deliver. I have some Street Slammer bars, new poly bushings, chrome switch covers, and some Performance Machine Renthal grips ready to go on too. I am in the process of trying to pick out what paint scheme to go with from www.attitudecustompainting.com. So far I like number 913 which is blue candy flames on a dark blue base. i am also planning on sending my wheels to chrome pros to do their magic to. My problem is the trees. I would love to convert to midglide or a wide glide but the conversion kits are expensive and money is getting tight. I am already over budget. I am not crazy about the narrow glide trees but any options are expensive. Ideally, I would put the front end off of a newer wideglide on it with the fatter tubes. I want to do something now while I got the whole front end apart and save the hassle and expense of tearing into it again later if I put it off. The cheapest thing I could do is get some trees just like the ones I got but in chrome. Surdyke HD sells them for something like $140. What would y'all do? Any ideas I might not have thought of?

Have you upgraded your suspension or brakes? I see you have a stage-1 kit...how about some motor work to beef it up?
Since you already have the sliders on the way I would get some trees to fit your 39mm tubes. Front ends come off relatively easy so if it were me I would do what I had to to stay close to budget and look for the newer front end later if that's what you like.
I have progressive 440's in the rear and about to put in the progressive fork springs since I am going to have them apart. I eventually will do a little motor work but it will have to wait for now. I also thought about trying to put a duece rear wheel on it but I need to do more resource and save some more coin for that. For now I am just trying to figure out what to do with the trees.
