There is no jack required.
Under the seat, disconnect the main tail light harness. It has a clear shielding on the wires.
Remove the OE tail light and disconnect all connections to the electrical block.
Should be Tail Light, Main Harness, and two signal connectors.
Remove the turn signals - bolt heads are on the underside of the fender.
Remove the four torx bolts on each side and remove the fender with care.
Flip it over on a soft bench and everything else will become obvious.
A couple of tips:
First, you will re-use the electrical block from the OE housing. It only fits one way in the new housing.
Second, as noted here. Clip those wire ties up front and pull back enough slack to make the connection for the main harness.
The rest is just a matter of going back together without scratching the fender.
