The "decals" on the FXDX are silkscreened on at the factory and N/A as a decal, only as part of a complete painted tank.....I settled for the logo used on the V-Rod; chrome letters; tough to line up, they come on a 2-pice tape.
I take it your working on your FXD tank??? Do you remember that 117c.i. FXDX they featured hot bike? The dude had his clothing company painted on the tank in the same style script as the FXDX decal. You had to get up close to tell that it didn't say harley-davidson. Why not do something simular for your new biz...

I Do remember that. I think it said Eight-Zero-Five that is the area code
here in Ventura Co. As far as the decal its painted on to the tank.
Maybe getting a sticker place to make some with that style font.
I bought the one off eBay looks good but he cut it in halffor shipping it ships from GB so it took a while and he only offers it inBlack I have not used it yet so I don't know how good it is. I know HD saysit is silkscreened on but that is BS I have sanded 2 off and they were decals.I would be interested in silver or a stencil if available I still don’t knowwhat color I’m going to paint my second set of tins!
dano: I Just repainted the tins on my 2000 fxdx and the letters werent decals.
i have been trying to figure out what font hd used but havent been able to find or duplicate it. I wasnt to take it to my buddy who makes decals and have him make me a set.
