Thanks to everyone that replied. I checked them because it was running like crap after the water in the PCIII connectors. I'll get a new set installed and run it awhile and check it out.

OK, forget the plugs a minute, since the pictures look like totally different plugs, wipe your finger on the inside of the exhaust pipes, are they full of soot?

I installed a PCIII without having my ride tuned. And, I had popping, shooting BLUE flames out, pipes were black, and the plugs were black and sooty. Thought I was running way RICH. Not so. Finally had my bike dyno tuned and found out that I was way too LEAN, Now my bike runs well. I had been using the SE plugs, but the Indy told me he preferred the standard HD plug; for some reason he had better luck with those.

BTW, I picked up around 8HP & 8 lb ft of torque.

And, with a dyno tune, you have both cylinders set to their optimum.

Madden23 I'll check the pipes. They do look black on the inside but they have since I installed them. I've only had the PCIII on for a couple of weeks.

Dlstanf2, that's what I'm worried about. I want to make sure I'm not running too lean.

THIS is your best approach YH. Some new properly gapped plugs and run a tank through her. No excessive pinging or popping? If not, then that's cool. Finally, use that link EDZ82FXR provided and check the plugs for sure.

YellowHawk, if you are too lean, you can fry a piston. I've seen it happened. Running a little rich will help keep your oil temp down as well.
