I just got mine installed yesterday in my big shots. I've messed with the baffles in those pipes so much trying to get the sound I want I've mastered the skill of heat shield removal. Took me about 10 minutes (broke a hose clamp on the upper heat shield, I keep spares in the shop). All I can say is SWEET. At idle the tone is awesome. The BCTs took just enough of that metallic straight pipe sound away. The real grin maker was running it down the road, though. Before I put these in the bike sounded really, really crappy off the throttle between shifts and on decel. Now it just has that mean *** WAH-BAH sound (huh?) with no backfiring or cracking. Love these things. Buy them.
Man, this is driving me crazy. Just about the time I make up my mind to try the V&H quiet baffles, I'll read another one of these bct threads and become undecided again. I'm looking for that deeper tone. When you guys say they sound better than the stock baffles, what is it that you like?
You've got one BAD a$$ looking Wide Glide there brother...I love it.

Thanks, good comments are always appreciated.
Ok, baffles are installed. They sound great, a bit louder than I was expecting. I went through a safeway parking lot, and must have set every car alarm off. Man, my neighbors aren't going to like that in the mornings. Maybe I should have gotten the QQ baffles. ktm_scott, I'm curious as to what you think after you install yours.
As mentioned earlier, I installed them deeper into the pipe. They are right at 6" deep give or take a little. With the pipes being slash cut the stock hole put them right at the edge. The first pic shows new location. Also, the second pic shows a little trick I did to make installing that pain in the **** upper nut on the back pipe. Especially with the heat shields on. Hot glued the nut to the tip of a pen, and went right on.
You've all got my curiosity peaked here. Without having two bikes side by side, one with the BCT and the other without, I wouldn't know the difference between the two.
