If you are going to get a new battery get an East Penn Deka battery. They are the HD battery manufacturer and you will save $20-40.00. Look up their website and find a local distributor. I just got one for my Dyna for $79.00 and it is the exact same battery only white versus black.

Check your e-mail. there are some hints in there. I've installed a little voltmeter (leds), that I can monitor while riding as to what voltage I'm getting from the regulator. The older twin cams with their 2 phase charging will drop the charge to 13.1v, if the rpm's aren't kept up. the newer bikes try to maintain a 14.2v constant. HD bikes operate off battery power, the charging system is there just to charge the battery. Let's know, good luck.
