Default Clutch Adjustment Question?

Going to do the Clutch adjustment while changing the primary oil. My question is with the locking nut on the adjuster screw?

When the adjustment is done the manual says to hold the adjuster screw with an allen key while you tighten/torque the locking nut? Is there a special tool for this or do you just lightly tighten with a wrench and then come back and torque without the allen key in place? The dilemma is how do I hold the adjuster screw and put a socket onto the locing nut? Hope this make sense.

Also does the adjustment need to be done with bike in neautral? Hoping to finish this tonight so any help would be greatly appreciated.

use one of these wrenches in conjunction with the allen key.

SoCal'

Shouldn't matter what gear you are in for doing the adjustment.

You could always use a crow's foot on the torque wrench, but the added offset will also add error to the amount of torque applied. I prefer to eyeball the position of the adjustment screw after I tighten the lock nut snug with a wrench, then make sure it hasn't drifted after torquing it down. Your going to make your fine adjustment at the cable adjuster anyway.

That was my thought. Snug with a wrench, then make the final torque and make sure the adjuster did not move. I thought about the crows foot but didnt want to throw off the torque.

Never officially torqued mine.
I look up the torque and do it by feel.
Snug tight without humping on it is about right.

But if you aren't good with that, I won't think that the inner portion would turn once you snug it up.
