Default Finished my list today

When I bought my FXDC, I made a list on my computer of everything I wanted to do to it. I wanted it ready for the Dragon, touring, camping and commuting. Everything is for go, not show. Today, I checked the list, and everything is completed!!!

Here it is:
FXDX rear shocks
HD leather tool box
Superbrace
Windvest
Works front spring kit
HD dual front brake kit
EBC sintered brake pads
HD garage door opener
Front turn signal relocation
Rear turn signal relocation
Willie & Max saddlebags
Kury ISO rider & passenger pegs
Kury heel rests
Clocks4Bikes steering nut clock
Metzeler ME880 tires
True-Track
Micro-Tach digital tachometer
Nelson-Rigg CLS-600 sissy bar luggage

Jeez, I'd better not add up what all that cost me. Yikes!

But, I'm ready for the Dragon next month, the Great Lakes 1000 IBA ride I've got planned, and numerous other day trips this summer, as well as commuting every day to and from work.

I've tried lots of other bikes, and this one suits me best. I couldn't be happier now with my first HD.

Way to go on the list. Sounds like a great ridin summer ahead, then must be time for a new scoot since this one is done. LOL

Good job-should be a good handling machine. I think some more pics are in order...

Hehe, nah, not me, as long as this bike doesn't give me any mechanical grief I'll be keeping it a long, long time.

I'll go take some right now.

I think it's very aesthetically pleasing, and the install is simply hooking up three wires. Ground, power, and data. The instructions tell you which wires to splice, and it comes with three wire taps, but I never have good luck using those taps so I just hardwired the three wires behind the headlight and re-taped and shrink wrapped the harness real good. It's protected from the elements pretty well anyway once you replace the headlight and speedometer.

No, I'm sure it's not, but for now it's in pretty good shape.

I'll go take some pictures right now.

I have an Excel spreadsheet with all the items. Can't seem to get more than halfway through the list 'cause i keep adding more items. Your bike looks great BTW.

Ditto on the congrats and great list. Made me drool just reading it. I've done about 1/4 of those things to my scoot. One question, have you looked at replacing the handlebars or are you comfortable with the buckhorns? I ask because that's my next modification because the bucks are just a pain on longer rides. I'm looking at set of Low Rider bars so that I get a more comfortable hand position, especially on the throttle.

I'm happy with the stock handlebars. They feel very much like the dirtbike type bars on my old V-Strom.

Pictures as promised:

FXDX shock, W&M bag, and HD leather toolbox. I used a powerlet tank bag passthrough to provide a place to charge my cellphone inside the toolbox. I can also plug my battery tender into the toolbox to charge the bike's battery

HD dual front brake kit, Metzelers, Superbrace, stainless lines

True-Track (Thanks again Adrian!)

Clocks4Bikes steering stem nut clock with Indiglo, great product and great customer service

Microtach Digital Tachometer. GREAT product, costs around $135 from Phatperformanceparts.com, easy install, looks like it belongs there

The whole package:
