Front slider tubes on FXDL

I want to install some chrome slider tubes on my 04 low rider, anyone have any tips beside what the service manual says?

YEs, it is easier to take the tubes completely off the bike and shake them upside down then try to yank the lowers downward. The tubes are heavy. You'll see what I mean. Get the took for installing the seals or use plastic water pipe.

I just had the dealer do mine when I got the front tire changed. They charged me 1.5 hours labor flat. I thought $100 was worth it. They didn't even charge me for the new seals or fluid.

Its an E-Z job just take your time.If I can do it anyone can!Just do one at a time so you won't mess up the front end and think about a thicker oil so the front isn't mushy.
