I was at the dealer today and saw several 05 and up FXD's in the 8500 range. Sounds a bit to steep for the bike. I would agree with the 5000 range.

A bike or anything is only worth what someone will pay for it. So check the blue book, follow folks advice on here and make an offer of what you think it is worth. They can only say no. Way to many good used bikes for sale, to get hung up on a particular one. so shop around a bit. Once you can get in the ball park on a price, I would ask to the seller to allow a mechanic you trust to inspect the bike.

I agree.. Way too high!! I got my '06 Super Glide with 6200 mi. for $7800. Keep looking around..

thanks for all the help, guys. i figured it was pretty high too, and you all confirmed my suspicion. the dealer that has it is, from what i hear, known to be a little spendy anyway. im gonna have to go through a dealer tho because i have to finance part of the cost, ive only got 4k in cash and i dont think that will get me much. im still researching bikes, and im going back to the dealer this week to test drive a few and see what i like best. ill def take this bike for a ride, but im also lookin at a fat bob, those really caught my eye.

Keep a close eye on your local craigslist site. The last few bikes I have gotten I found there and have had excellent luck and been able to get some good deals.. Dealers here is SC post on there sometimes too so it might work out with the financing...
