I haven't used one on my Harley but I used a similar product (speedo healer) on my last bike, a '06 GSX-R 750. Worked great after I swapped out the front and rear sprockets on the bike. Had a neat feature that recorded the top speed you'd gone on your bike, too. Of course you could erase that in case it recorded a slightly larger-than-legal number. I'd search ebay before actually placing an order.
I am doing the 30T change on a 07 Ultra Classic. The manual says to remove the bearing inner race using a puller. Is this required to remove the mainshaft lock nut?
Hey guys, getting ready to do the Andrews 30T counter sprocket change on my FXDF - any one care to let me use their 2.25 socket (required to remove the nut)?
Seems like a waste to buy for a one time use.
And for those of you that used the impact wrench to crack the nut, how did you hold the sprocket to torque it up again?
I gave up on trying to take mine off and glad I did. Took it to the dealership, watched the tech try, then put on a heat from a hand torch, then destroyed his snap on air gun, then finally after using heat from a big tank torch and heating up, with another air gun was able to break free. One part of the job I am glad I didn't do. But he did mention some come off easy and othesr don't

Check Harbor Freight for the socket. I know what ya mean, I had to get a large socket for one time use to remove a Yoke nut off my front diff on my diesel. Still sitting in the tool box 10 years later!
This mod is the greatest thing I have done to my 07 Night Train!! I used the Andrews 30t and put on a new belt. The old belt was streched and needed to be replaced. The stock belt will work if it is in good shape.
This thing runs like a different bike now. Thanks for the info on this mod. I got most of it from this forum.
