It's not the kill switch then. Fuel pump won't run if it's in the off position.

So hello to all - Got the bike back working fine Sat morning.

I forget the name of the wire, but it had "somehow" come loose from the control panel, I think he called it. From within the box on the opposite side of the battery cover.

they could not figure out how it happened, as they say it rarely falls off from the factory. In fact, they were iffy if it was a warrant, or some sort of vandalism/my mistake, etc.

I was about to throw a fit whenwe got chit chatting about the bike and previous issues. I reminded them of when they had to replace the swing arm under warranty and had the whole thing taken apart in the rear.

Then the service manager said, "oh, then that was probably our fault then", meaning the tech did not properly put things back together after the swing arm replacement (about 4 months ago).

Anyway, no cost to me and the bike is running great.

Glad you got things sorted out, and glad the dealer took care of it. What sucks is that these things have gotten so damned complicated.

Stopped by my buddy's friend's house after the run we went on yesterday. Peeked in the back of the garage, and saw what looked like an old Triumph. Sure enough, it was a '66 Daytona. Got to talking w/ the guy, and he said he needed to replace the wiring harness. It was $45 and had 6 wires in it!!!

I agree that these types of problems are really aggravating and time consuming. But glad to know at least it was figured out and your back to riding.
