My bike was dealer traded to get the color I wanted.
Upon delivery, I noticed that the lower triple trees were rubbed and it was deep into the aluminum...enough that polish wouldn't remove the marks. I pointed it out, no big deal. They ordered the part and they are fixing it next week.
However, it was OBVIOUS it happened in transport, it is where the "soft" straps would lay when the bike was tied down. However, the salesmen said that was impossible...
Either way, it's being fixed at no cost to me and I'm only losing the bike for 4 hours. I have dealt with shitty dealers in the past over vehicles of other makes, it is truly a dealership issue. You just have to find a GOOD dealer, make good friends with the service department if your going to have your bike touched by them and stick with them.
I turn my own wrenches, but hey...I have a two year warranty so it's going to them for any issues. You pay for that when buying a new bike, take advantage.
